Mommy and Me!

Here are some pics from the photoshoot of me and mommy! I think we make a pretty cute pair! I know it's hard to tell from the pictures but she loves me to pieces! I love her lots too-it's hard to be away from her all day when she goes to work but I am always very happy to see her when she gets home! I reach my arms up to her so she can pick me up and I give her lots of snuggles! She always snuggles me back and then it's snack time! Which is pretty much my favorite part of the day besides breakfast lunch or dinner. What can I say, a man's gotta eat!

Here are some of the shots from my photoshoot with Megan Collenberg this weekend. She did such an amazing job, and can you say "Big Blue Eyes"? Mommy and I are super excited to get the rest of the photos on a CD and put them up on our sort of bare walls at home. Good thing Michael's was having a big sale on picture frames! In other news, my sleeping is still going really well. I spent my day with my "Bom Bom" and "GG" today and had lots of fun and was a very good boy! It makes it easy when they lay me down in the pack 'n play and I go right to sleep. They are also really excited because now I am eating solids and I gobbledup peas, applesauce, and turkey for GG! Yum yum!

Kisses for Mommy!

This is my latest accomplishment, I am learning to give sloppy, somewhat painful kisses. I latched onto mommies chin the other day when she was leaving for work and I think I may have left a bruise! I just love her so much I couldn't help myself! She didn't mind either because she loves me so much too!

In other news, my sleeping has improved a lot! I had been waking up only once during the night after pulling about a 7 to 8 hour stretch, but on Saturday night I slept all.night.long! From 7:30pm to 6am! Mommy was so excited she didn't know what to do! And I was a happy, happy boy! Until my photoshoot where they stuck me in the wet grass outside by the daffodils, but that's another story!

Horsey Rides from Grumpa aka Grandpa

My grandpa-who mommy and grammy call "Grumpa" because he tends to be grumpy sometimes, loves to give me horsey rides! I love it too. I can't wait for the day when I can ride a real horse, but for now Grumpa's knee will have to do. I have been a pretty happy boy these days and everyone is glad that I have finally outgrown my colicky phase. I also am sleeping much better at night. Mommy has been reading a book by a guy named Ferber who has some good ideas. She doesn't really like the idea of letting me fuss but is hoping that her and I will both get a better nights sleep in the end. Who knows, maybe it will lead to me sleeping through the night one of these days! Stay tuned, I will keep you updated.

I love my wubbanub!

So here is me with my Wubbanub. Basically it is a pacifier with a small stuffed dog attached to it. So if the paci falls out of my mouth I can grab the stuffed toy and put it right back in my mouth. Mommy and Leana (my babysitter) like it too because it solves the problem of me waking up and screaming until someone comes in and puts my pacifier back in my mouth. Now I can do it all by myself because I am cool like that! And it is great because it is helping me wake less at night! And when I am just hanging out playing I like to have it in my mouth....I actually think it makes me look pretty smart! This is just one of my favorite things that I will be writing about because I am like Oprah, I have lots of favorite things!

I had a fun Valentines Day! Grammy and Daddy gave me cards and Grammy gave me a soother to try to help me sleep longer at night. It didn't really work but I like the songs it plays and the light display. The cards were cool and very tasty as well! Mommy thought a good Valentines Day present would be for her to get a little more sleep, but that doesn't appear to be happening any time soon, unfortunately. I usually wake up at least three times a night, and then am up for good around 6:30am or 7am. This morning I was awake in my crib from 5am to 6am and then slept in my swing until 7am and was not going to sleep a second more! Then I took a great three and half hour nap around 10am-cuz I have to catch up on my sleep at some point in time! Mommy is a walking zombie these days but everyone always says, sleep is overrated!

Rub a dub dub, little man in the tub!

I can sit up on my own now and mommy is almost ready to put me in the big boy tub that I got from my friend Isabella. For now I am still in the sink. Bath time is pretty much the greatest time of the day! We added some bubbles and I thought those were pretty neat! I love to splash water everywhere and squeal in delight! It does make quite a mess but that's ok!

I had so much fun playing with my friends Makenna and Ashlee during Superbowl Sunday! Makenna is almost exactly one year older than me and Ashlee is just a little less than one year older! Both of them are very beautiful and their daddys better watch out for me when I get older! We played with toys, and Makenna gave me lots of hugs and kisses! I also got to spend some quality time with Dad. My namesake, Payton Manning couldn't win the game for the Colts, but we had a good time anyways!
